Registrations - Registration Fee, Payment & Refund Method

Registration Fee

Agent registration/renewal fee (for a period of three years) HK$410

Administration fee for registering every additional insurer HK$70

Payment method

Step 1

Deposit the EXACT amount of registration fees via bank or PPS:

     
  1. Hong Kong Bank :004-511-386468-002
  2. Bank of China: 070-920000-52182         OR

PPS with merchant code: 9963

     
 

WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT, HONG KONG BANK CHARGES HK$10 FOR EACH COUNTER TRANSACTION. FOR THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO USE HONG KONG BANK’S COUNTER SERVICE SHOULD BEAR THIS ADDITIONAL COST.

TO AVOID THIS ADDITIONAL COST, YOU MAY CHOOSE ATM/CHEQUE DEPOSIT MACHINE/INTERNET BANKING TO MAKE YOUR DEPOSIT.

     
For cheque payment, please make payable to "The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers" and write down the agent's name on the back of the cheque.
   
Step 2 Write down the agent’s name at the back of the ORIGINAL pay-in-slip and attach it to the registration form for the submission to the Insurance Agents Registration Board via the Handling BR.  For PPS user, please mark down the payment reference number at the upper left hand corner of the registration form.

Please ensure the pay-in-slip or PPS reference be presented to the IARB within ONE YEAR of the pay-in-date.

Application of Refund

For those applicants who need to apply for refund, please note that the refund can only be made by submitting the ORIGINAL pay-in-slip or PPS payment reference number to the Administration Department of the HKFI. Please also specify the PAYEE NAME in your refund application. Please ensure the pay-in-slip or PPS reference be presented to the IARB within ONE YEAR of the pay-in-date.
